Karen’s 25+ years’ experience in real estate, business development, capital campaign design & community growth, and non-profit board & team development lends great value and perspective to guiding community success.

Karen is a published author, contributing writer, keynote speaker, and regular presenter on topics including senior living, rightsizing, real estate & housing trends, and philanthropy & capital campaigns.

Deeply connected to her local neighborhood and causes, Karen serves as chairperson on The Kenney Foundation Board of Directors and on the Board of Directors for Senior Center of West Seattle.

When not leading S|365, Karen enjoys downtime camping with her family across Washington State and “growing” her talents in urban gardening.

Many summer adventures were had across 6 passes, plus road trips to Birch Bay, eastern Washington, Washington coast, and personal favorite, Mt. St Helen’s.

Using driftwood and rocks from her neighborhood beach & travels, Karen makes planters for succulents. She also grows lavender and maintains a robust vegetable garden of tomatoes, artichokes, lettuces, beans, herbs, and more.
