S|365 Consulting + Design Announces Senior Center of West Seattle as a New Client: Major Refresh Plans as part of S|365 Project Thrive Community Initiative
SEATTLE, WA – August 28, 2020 – S|365 Consulting + Design announces Senior Center of West Seattle as a new client as part of its S|365 Project Thrive community initiative, a community service program with a mission to provide pro-bono consulting and design services in part or full to non-profit organizations serving vulnerable populations across the greater Puget Sound region.
Senior Center of West Seattle engaged S|365 to develop a design solution for a broad refresh of its center, including modest structural and finish improvements throughout: new flooring, paint, wayfinding signage, updated bathrooms, and select furnishings for its administrative offices, lobby area, and Stop ‘N Shop thrift store storage needs.
“The Senior Center is evaluating the needs of the West Seattle community as we work to create a more inclusive model, which includes a refresh of our physical building this year,” said Executive Director Amy Lee Derenthal. “S|365 is providing significant pro-bono support to help us make our renovation possible. We are grateful to Karen and the team at S|365 for sharing our enthusiasm about how we can best meet the needs of our community’s seniors.”
“We’re honored to support this amazing organization and help make a difference for its members and staff,” said S|365 CEO Karen Pfeiffer Bush. “We have been committed to the needs of seniors for over 15-years and have no intention of stopping. Through our new S|365 Project Thrive community initiative , we donate over 100 hours each year in interior design services and manpower to local non-profits supporting marginalized populations, homelessness, BIPOC, senior citizens, and children.”
Pfeiffer Bush’s dedication to seniors and the organization has led her to join the Senior Center’s Board of Directors as Board President, providing strategic guidance and oversight. Pfeiffer Bush has supported the Senior Center of West Seattle with its executive director search, helped it pivot programming and services at the beginning of the pandemic, and is leading a renewed focus on how it can best serve the community in the coming years.
